Eric Anderson
Director of Youth Programs
Eric Anderson joined Break the Cycle in 2009 as Director of Youth Programs. An advocate for positive youth development and mentoring, Eric previously served as Programs Director for Young Musicians Foundation of Los Angeles, where he helped design, implement and promote classical music education programming and artistic training for over 5,000 youth annually. A graduate of Louisiana State University and the University of Southern California, Eric also works as a classical pianist, recording artist for motion picture soundtracks and award-winning theatrical producer.

Kelly Bestul
Resource and Outreach Specialist
Kelly Bestul joined Break the Cycle as an intern in 2010 and began as a full time staff member in 2012. As the Outreach and Resource Specialist, she coordinates Break the Cycle’s public presence in communities around Los Angeles and currently manages a new multi-state Love is Respect project that will engage youth across the country. Kelly graduated with a degree in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota in 2007.

Jon Blankenberg
Digital Strategies Coordinator
Jonathan Blankenberg began working with Break the Cycle in 2009. As the Digital Marketing Coordinator, he is responsible for the maintenance and expansion of Break the Cycle’s many on-line social media profiles. Jon graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers College in 2008 with a Bachelors degree in psychology.

Megan Calvo
Staff Attorney
As a Staff Attorney at Break the Cycle, Megan Calvo provides legal representation to survivors of domestic violence. Before joining Break the Cycle’s team, she was the Legal Coordinator for DC Survivors and Advocates for Empowerment and was the law clerk for the Hon. Nancy Sivilli in the New Jersey Superior Court. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Eastern University and her JD from Western New England College School of Law.

Jasmine Ceja
Youth Programs Coordinator
Jasmine Ceja graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 2010. She has a Bachelors degree in Child Development with a Certificate in Youth Agency Administration. Jasmine is dedicated to the well being of children and adolescents. She has worked with pregnant teens and children focusing on healthy development. Jasmine is a strong advocate for healthy relationships and believes that awareness is the key to ending dating violence. Jasmine joined Break the Cycle in 2010 as Youth Programs Coordinator.

Grace Delgado
Donor Relations Specialist
Grace Delgado graduated from Loyola Marymount University in the spring of 2010 where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. She began as a Development Intern at Break the Cycle shortly thereafter following several years of service with the organization through the LMU Belles. After a brief stint away she joined the BTC staff as Donor Relations Specialist in 2011. She now works with Break the Cycle’s individual donors who are dedicated to promoting safe and healthy relationships.

Cristina Escobar
Director of Loveisrespect
Cristina Escobar joined Break the Cycle in 2006 and has moved her way up the ranks to her current position. As Director of Loveisrespect, Cristina facilitates Break the Cycle’s partnership with the National Dating Abuse Helpline, growing the ultimate source of support for teens and 20-somethings dealing with dating abuse — loveisrespect. She graduated a Phi Beta Kappa member with honors from Occidental College.

Juley Fulcher, Esq.
Director of Policy Programs
With a lengthy career in domestic and sexual violence issues, Juley Fulcher opened Break the Cycle’s Washington, DC Office in 2004. She had spent more than five years as the Public Policy Director for the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence where she successfully led a grassroots campaign to reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act. Currently, Juley serves as Board of Directors Chair for the DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence and teaches at Georgetown University. Originally from South Carolina, Juley received her law degree from Georgetown University and a Ph.D. in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University.

Colleen Gallopin
Director of Training and Technical Assistance
Colleen Gallopin began working at Break the Cycle in 2007. As the Director of Training & Technical Assistance, Colleen works with local government and schools to create effective policies to address dating violence. Prior to that, she worked as a staff attorney for House of Ruth Maryland, legally representing survivors of domestic violence. Colleen has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Oberlin College and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Marjorie Gilberg
Executive Director
Marjorie Gilberg began working at Break the Cycle in 2004. She has a long-standing commitment to social justice and the nonprofit sector. Since 1997, Marjorie has raised funds for causes ranging from homelessness to the arts to at-risk youth. Originally from Florida, Marjorie received her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Southern California and attended Emory University School of Law.

Kelley Hampton
Technical Assistance Specialist
As Technical Assistance Specialist, Kelley Hampton facilitates trainings on how to help teens experiencing abuse and works with local government and schools to help create policies to address dating violence. Kelley formerly served as a law clerk for Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland and has worked with various education and youth-focused nonprofit organizations. Kelley received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center and her MPP from Georgetown Public Policy Institute.

Jessica Little
Development Manager
Jessica Marie Little joined Break the Cycle’s staff in 2012. With a working history of both educational and advocacy nonprofits, Jessica has extensive experience in melding communications with development. She holds dual degrees in Sociology and Studies of Women and Gender from the University of Virginia, and firmly believes there is no ‘senior’ in one’s education. Initially becoming involved with Break the Cycle in 2008 as an intern, Jessica is thrilled be back and dedicating her efforts full time to building healthy relationships.

Morgan Lynn
Technical Assistance Attorney
As a Technical Assistance Attorney, Morgan works with governments, schools, and non-profit organizations to create policies and programs that respond to the needs of teen survivors of abuse. Before joining Break The Cycle, Morgan started and managed a program representing LGBTQ survivors in legal matters and conducted local and national trainings to enhance providers’ capacities to better serve LGBTQ communities. Morgan received her Bachelors of Arts from Smith College and her JD from Georgetown University.

Darlene Mowrey, CPA
Controller
Darlene Mowrey began working for Break the Cycle in 2004. Prior to becoming the Controller, she lent her time as a volunteer. In 2003, Darlene left her career as an accountant at a CPA firm and committed herself to working in the nonprofit sector. She served as accountant at MotherNet LA and then Richstone Family Center before joining Break the Cycle. Darlene received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.

Quincy O’Neal
Administrative Coordinator
Quincy joined Break the Cycle in 2011. At university, Quincy collaborated with a bevy of organizations supporting the New Haven community, including the Office of New Haven and State Affairs and the Dwight Hall Center for Public Service and Social Justice. Quincy graduated from Yale University with a Bachelors degree in African American Studies.

Antonio Salerno
Foundation & Government Relations Specialist
Antonio began working with Break the Cycle in 2011. While completing a Masters degree at Brooklyn College, he developed a passion for grants and their greater impact on the well-being of society. Antonio is dedicated to securing funding that will serve Break the Cycle’s core mission of empowering youth to end domestic violence.

Tonya Turner
Senior Staff Attorney
As the Senior Staff Attorney, Tonya Turner trains youth-serving adults on how to better help teens experiencing abuse. She also provides direct legal services to young victims of domestic violence. Prior to joining Break the Cycle, Tonya managed a private practice that primarily helped low income people pursue claims against negligent landlords and immigrants seek political asylum. Tonya received her undergraduate degree from Howard University and her advanced degree from Rutgers School of Law.

Nicole Varma
Development & Administrative Coordinator
Nicole Varma joined the Break the Cycle team in 2010 as Development and Administrative Coordinator, helping to manage fundraising efforts in the DC office. Nicole graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science with a specialization in public affairs and a minor in sociology. Before joining Break the Cycle, Nicole worked with many local and national non profits and campaigns including the Hillary Clinton Campaign, Democratic National Committee and Best Buddies.
