Break the Cycle is launching a new initiative to ensure that teens in rural communities get the help they need. These young people experience abuse at the same rate as their urban counterparts, but often have difficulty accessing services tailored to their needs.
Schools Address Dating Abuse
With support from the Office on Violence Against Women, Break the Cycle will help rural schools and community groups to prevent dating abuse and serve young victims. As part of the project, we are developing a national Model Policy for dealing with domestic violence on middle school and high school campuses and distributing tailored safety-planning workbooks to youth in need.
National Partnership
Together with National Network to End Domestic Violence, Break the Cycle will teach thousands of teens in underserved rural communities that they have the right to a safe and healthy relationship.
