#ThisIsDV #TeenDVMonth (Social Media Campaign)

Hosted by: National Resource Center on Domestic Violence

About:

What does teen dating violence look like? Recognizing the tactics used to hurt, intimidate, frighten, and control young people in intimate relationships is critical if we are to take action to address and prevent it. The NRCDV’s #ThisIsDV campaign elevates the voices of youth survivors during Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month to help validate and name their experiences and raise awareness about the multifaceted nature of teen dating violence.

Be Brave. Break the Cycle

Be Brave. Break the Cycle

Hosted by: Angie’s House Inc. Nonprofit

About:

On February 25, 2017, Angie’s House Inc. will sponsor Be Brave. Break the Cycle teen dating violence forum in conjunction with the Wesley Chapel-William C. Morris Branch Library located at 2861 Wesley Chapel Road in Decatur, GA. 30034.  The forum is interactive and geared towards tweens and teens.  It features age appropriate live performances by young performers from the Utopian School for the Performing Arts and W.O.W. Through short scenes acted out by our performers, the audience actually sees a manifestation of teen dating violence, discusses what they’ve seen, and makes recommendations about what a healthy relationship should be.
