BTCYP Leadership Committee

Break the Cycle Young Professionals (BTCYP) Leadership Committee is an auxiliary group that raises friends and funds for Break the Cycle. The Leadership Committee plans and promotes social gatherings to acquaint other young professionals with our work through events like Bingo and an annual benefit for Break the Cycle.

  • Event-planning – Identify venues, negotiate contracts, manage vendors, recruit volunteers and coordinate logistics
  • Fundraising – Recruit sponsors and solicit donations
  • PR & Marketing – Promote the event, work with media, and raise awareness of a nonprofit and its important programs

Leadership Track

BTCYP’s Leadership Committee acts as a “Board of Directors-in-training” – learn what it takes to be a successful Board member for a nonprofit organization.

Commitment: Minimum 20 hours annually, including participating in at least two in-person meetings, attending BTCYP events, and planning and promoting one larger event per calendar year.
