Dating Violence & Runaway and Homeless Youth Toolkit

Dating violence can affect anyone regardless of race, gender or economic status. Runaway and homeless youth are no exception. In fact, they are at greater risk of experiencing dating violence and report higher levels of interpersonal violence than other groups.

Although there is a clear intersection between dating violence and homeless/runaway youth, there is a lack of collaboration between those who provide services to homeless youth and those who specialize in domestic violence. Many communities don't even have both services.

To address this dire situation, the National Resource Center For Domestic Violence, in partnership with a wide range of organizations including Break the Cycle, created the Runaway & Homeless Youth and Relationship Violence Toolkit.

The online toolkit provides key statistics, terminology, reading lists, online help resources, service building guidelines, partnership building tips and ways to measure the success of programs.
