What are the limits on your Legal Services Program?

Break the Cycle currently only represents victims of domestic violence who are between the ages of 12 and 22 and who live in the cities where Break the Cycle has offices. Break the Cycle does not charge any fees for these services. Break the Cycle accepts clients regardless of income or immigration status.

What if I don’t live in an area where Break the Cycle has an office?

While our full services are limited to the cities where we have offices, if you live somewhere else, please feel free to contact us. Break the Cycle can give you information, advice and referrals to resources in your area.

How can I request a presentation from your Education & Outreach Program?

To request a presentation, please contact Break the Cycle as indicated below:

Can I volunteer for Break the Cycle?

Yes! Volunteers provide critical support to Break the Cycle by helping out in our office, teaching in the classroom, conducting outreach in the community, and using their unique skills and talents to help us grow. As a Break the Cycle volunteer you have many opportunities to contribute your time and talents to our efforts to end domestic violence. Can I refer someone to your organization?

Yes. Break the Cycle’s Legal Services Program depends on referrals from other service providers and professionals who work with youth. Please feel free to contact us or refer a young person directly, even if you are not sure if it is an appropriate referral. All of our services are confidential. Even if a person in need does not fit within the scope of our services, we will still be happy to speak with him or her confidentially, and give him or her information, advice and appropriate referrals.

What do I do if I am worried about someone?

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are worried because you think someone you know may be a victim of dating or domestic violence, don’t be afraid to let them know you are concerned for them. Educating yourself about dating and domestic violence, and what you can do to help, is a good first step. Click here for more ideas about how to help a friend or family member in need. Do you offer services in any other language than English?
